Robert Neal was born on 4 April 1842 in TennesseeG.1 He was the son of William R Neal, Jr, and Hannah Dennis.2

On 21 September 1850 Robert Neal was enumerated in the household of Hannah Dennis on the 1850 U. S. census for District No 37, Hickory County, MissouriG, as Robert Neal, 18 years old, birthplace of Tennessee. Also enumerated in the household were John Neal, Richard Neal, and Elizabeth Neal.2

Robert Neal married Margaret J Dennis, daughter of Joseph Dennis and Elsie Seitz, on 28 December 1865 in Bell County, TexasG.3

Robert Neal died on 24 May 1904, at age 62.1

Robert Neal was buried in Hodge Cemetery, Temple, Bell County, TexasG, FG .1
