Eliza Magness was born on 14 July 1826 in GeorgiaG.1,2 She was the daughter of Abner Magness.2

Eliza Magness married John Millegde Nix, son of John Nix and Elizabeth Holmes, say 1853.

On 2 July 1860 Eliza Magness was enumerated in the household of John Millegde Nix on the 1860 U. S. census for Clarksville, Habersham County, GeorgiaG, as Eliza Nix, 30 years old, birthplace of Georgia, occupation of Housekeeper. Also enumerated in the household were Edward Nix and Isabella Nix.1

Eliza Magness died on 27 March 1920, at age 93, in Cleveland, White County, GeorgiaG.2
