I recieved an Email from Phyllis C. Stehm ( 7 Jun 2006) clarifying the information about the Anthony burials in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

"Col. D.R. Anthony left $1000.00 in his will to build a monument to commemorate the work of his sister, Susan B. Anthony and this was placed on the family plot in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The large four-sided monument contains the names of all the family members in a list, with other members commemorated on other sides. Mr. Halsey, a well-known genealogist in Rochester, transcribed every word on the monument, thus giving the impression that all family members were buried there. But that is not the case. Those buried in the plot are as follows: Daniel Anthony (1862), Ann Eliza McLean (1864), Madge Anthony (1867), Thomas King McLean (1870), Guelma P. Anthony McLean (1873), Lucy Read Anthony (1880), Aaron M. McLean (1896), Susan B. Anthony (1906) and finally Mary S. Anthony (1907)."

I wish to thank bot Mr. Hasley for collecting the original information and Ms. Stehm for her clarification. Both of you have aided my research into the Anthony family.
