     William Singleton Lee also went by the name of Sink.2 He was born in March 1828 at Kentucky.1 He was born on 10 March 1834 at Kentucky.2 He was the son of (?) Lee and (?) Lee.

William Singleton Lee married Nellie Hall Dennis, daughter of Jonathan Dennis and Elizabeth Hall, in 1854 at Missouri.3,2

William Singleton Lee was enumerated on 2 June 1860 as head of household on the 1860 U. S. census for Collin County, Texas as William Lee, 26 years old, birthplace of Kentucky, occupation of Farmer, value of personal property $200. Also enumerated in the household were Nellie Hall Dennis, Elizabeth Lee, Riley R Lee and Winnie Ann Lee.4 William Singleton Lee was on the Johnson County, Texas list of Indigent Confederate Families as W S Lee in Confederate Service with 6 dependents on 17 March 1864.5

William Singleton Lee was enumerated on 16 June 1880 as head of household on the 1880 U. S. census for Com. Precinct No. 4, Uvalde County, Texas as William Lee, 49 years old, birthplace of Kentucky, occupation of Teamster. Could not read. Could not write. Father born in Virginia. Mother born in Indiana.. Also enumerated in the household were Nellie Hall Dennis, Mollie Emily Lee, John Dennis Lee, William Singleton Lee Jr., Barnett Hall Lee, Nellie Jolethea Lee and Lillian R. Lee.6

William Singleton Lee was enumerated on 28 June 1885 as head of household on the 1885 state census for Organ, Dona Ana County, New Mexico Territory as W. S. Lee, Married, 54 years old, birthplace of Kentucky, occupation of Stockman.. Also enumerated in the household were Nellie Hall Dennis, Riley R Lee, Mollie Emily Lee, John Dennis Lee, William Singleton Lee Jr., Barnett Hall Lee, Nellie Jolethea Lee and Lillian R. Lee.7

On 10 June 1888 William Singleton Lee wasadmitted to Stockton State Hospital, San Joaquin County, California He had homicidal delusions, threatening to kill wife and son. The cause of the delusions may have been a blow to the neck a month previously.8

William Singleton Lee died on 19 June 1891 at Stockton State Hospital, San Joaquin County, California, at age 57. Cause of death was Paralysis.8
