     Mollie Emily Lee was born on 22 April 1866 at Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.1 She was the daughter of William Singleton Lee and Nellie Hall Dennis.1

On 16 June 1880 Mollie Emily Lee was enumerated in the household of William Singleton Lee on the 1880 U. S. census for Com. Precinct No. 4, Uvalde County, Texas as Mary Lee, 14 years old, Daughter, Married, birthplace of Texas, occupation of at home. Could not write. Father born in Kentucky. Mother born in Tennessee. Also enumerated in the household were Nellie Hall Dennis, John Dennis Lee, William Singleton Lee Jr., Barnett Hall Lee, Nellie Jolethea Lee and Lillian R. Lee.2

28 June 1885 Mollie Emily Lee was enumerated with William Singleton Lee on the 1885 New Mexico Territory census for Organ, Dona Ana County as M E Wood, Widowed, 19 years old, birthplace of Texas Also enumerated in the household were Nellie Hall Dennis, Riley R Lee, John Dennis Lee, William Singleton Lee Jr., Barnett Hall Lee, Nellie Jolethea Lee and Lillian R. Lee.3

Mollie Emily Lee married Thomas Grant Word.1
